first off - yes, this was not well planned. my power meter's less than 6 weeks old, my mental state for training has been horrible this year, blah blah excuse excuse etc.
But the fact is, I have a short (14.5mi) moderately hilly (~1000 ft of climbing) time trial on June 22nd, that's possibly my only event of the year (because I don't really race). Last week was a rest week, because I felt crappy, and besides, my TSB was way negative. Now, my TSB's up to zero - though whether or not it's accurate after so little time with the meter is questionable - and my legs feel good.
My question is, do I beat the hell out of myself this week, and taper next week going into the race? Or, since my fitness is not all that great to begin with (CTL is only 33 :O), maybe it's best to ramp up slowly this week with mostly SST efforts, and do a smaller taper next week?
Thanks..
