Anyone have a good shoe recommendation? I don’t care if they are road or mountain bike shoes as long as they are SPD compatible so I can have one pair of shoes to ride both my mountain bike and road bike plus use them in spin class. TIA.

you have mountain SPD clips on both bikes? Shimano M075's come in my size (50) and are cheap at around $70. I use the M075 with eggbeaters on my mtb and R075 with SPD-SL cleats on the roadie.

Yes, on all 3 bikes if you count the spin bikes. :)

I have Forte CM210 MTB shoes. Under $50 on sale, and comfy enough that I use them on both my bikes.
I bought these: Shimano M122's (http://www.rei.com/product/766274)
I have a pretty wide foot and these fit me really well. The LBS didn't have anything like it in stock but said for wider feet the Shimano shoes tend to do better. I found mine at the local REI and they were on sale.
I like my shoes REALLY, REALLY tight when I strap them up so I wish they had the ratcheting type strap but I can live with these. I can get them pretty tight and have not had any problems with them slipping.

I love my Sidi dominators. They are super expensive for a mountain bike shoe but I've had my pair for 12 years. They fit exceptionally well and are incredibly durable.

I love my Specialized Comp Mountain shoes. Check with your local Specialized dealer. They may have last years model they will sell you at a discount. I got mine for $90 that way. I use mine with Eggbeaters. Check out there Specials page. If you get lucky and find your size there are some really good deals there.

Ive always strayed away from shoes, I dont want to fall i guess...lol. I would love to give it a try though. Are these worth it for a casual 50 mile a week rider?

Yeah, clipless pedals are totally worth it. Once you get used to them they are 100X more predictable than toeclips.

I feel like one with bike using clipless. Kinda hard to explain in words.
Go into your LBS, try some on. I ended up with some from Specialized.

I have some Specialized road shoes. They are not as good as my Sidis but they are very good for the price. You can't go wrong with Specialized, but if you ride a lot and have the cash, Sidi is the way to go. Of course you have to try them on and see how they fit your foot.
