S and S coupling framebuilders in NYC?

Hi, this is my first time posting in this forum.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any framebuilder in manhattan where I can get my cross check SS'ed. The closest places I would have to ship and I'd prefer not to.

Doesn't surly do that? or is it just the LHT. I probably wouldn't put that much money into a Cross Check. Just me though. Sometimes you can talk Bike Friday out of a frame, not that that is the same thing, just mentioning...

The Cross Check with the S&S couplers already installed is called the Traveler's Check. Yikes - pretty expensive at $1075, but it will cost you that much to go the conversion route if you figure the cost of the frame plus the conversion plus repainting.

If you're dead set on doing it, I'd probably suggest buying the Traveler's Check and selling off your existing frame. You'll end up better in the long run - no problems with paint and decal matching after they take the torch to the frame.

Thought about travelers check but mine has 631 tubing and threaded fork. I guess I'll go through that list of frambuilders.
