Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Anybody have any experiences with LOOK framesets. I have an opportunity to pick up an '03 KG 461 matte black bike built up the way I want it for about 2,200 USD. Or for about 300 more should I just pick up a Trek 5200?
ridden the 361(?, could not remember what the model was but I think it was a 361 or a 365 something), it was great. had also sat on the trek 5500..
The look has the look.. I prefer the look..
got to love the look... :)

I just got the 04' Look 386i and wow............ what an amazing bike.
Go for the Look.

From purely a vanity stand point, IMO, go with the Look. (Treks are nice bikes, but everybody has 'em). Of course aesthetics alone is no reason to base the decision for the purchase of a high end bike on, but I'm sure you can't go wrong with either selection. It just looks like it has more Zoot!

Thanks for your replies.
Eastcoaster, what color did you choose?
Never mind.
I am a little more down market, Look KG 241 Carbon, but love the bike. Just a great looking bike and have logged up over 8,000 miles in about 1/1/2 years.
Not sure about the others in the Look range but mine rides so smooth like sitting on a "Magic carpet"

Thanks. I'm still on the fence. I don't really need a new bike, I just want it. Still very happy with my Litespeed, but I've always wanted a CF bike. Plus it's on sale.

Trek does an awful lot talking about the technology they consider when manufacturing their CF frames. I wish Look did the same so that I could compare.
By the way, what's the warranty on Look frames?
Sweet bike, I've got an '03 381i with the Jalabert colors which is also red/black. Love the bike as I've got full Campy Record on it and the whole 9 yards.
Only thing with the Look framesets, 25mm seatposts and be careful with overtightening the cam with them. The labels are under the clear coating so if you dislike the numerous big LOOK decals, you're kind of stuck.
I used some Invincashield on my chainstays and headtube to protect the frame while being invisible to the naked eye.
