After hearing that offer from the rep, I decided to try to go over his head and go right to Trek/Fisher, first I checked the front triangle myself at the headtube and couldn't find a crack other than a scratch that was from a crash back in September. Sure enough in the mail was a new swing arm in that blue for a Fat Possum. So after I got done with cutting the grass, I threw the parts back on the fisher, only after doing something utterly crazy, I made the swing arm match the original swing arm, minus the crack. It would have bothered me to have a scratched front triangle and a non scratched swing arm, and yes taping the seat stays were part of that process.
Probably wondering why.
Truth be told, I hurt myself more than just a bruised hip in that crash two weeks ago. Didn't even know it myself until I started to ride the dmr. I've got a case of water on the knee due to an injured mcl in my right knee. Was supposed to have surgery on it, but had some issues insurance wise.(Wanted me to use cortisone shots, which does nothing for me. :notamused:) Going to ride through this with the doctor's go ahead as long as I don't use a hardtail or a fixed gear and to use anti-inflamatories and a knee brace.
