Hi everyone. I'm looking for Time clipless pedals with a large enough platform surface to ride while just wearing sneakers. Does any one know if the Time Atac Z Mountain Pedals will fit the bill?

I don't see any profile shots of the pedal that would show if the binding is flush with the platform or if the binding stands proud of it. It appears to be a bit proud of the platform. I want to be able to just jump on my bike to ride around the neighborhood with my son without having to do a costume change (shoes).

Also, does that platform make it more difficult to clip in? Do you have to shave off some of the sole of your shoe?

I had a pair of Aliums once and hated it. Granted it was my first set... The problem with them is that there is no tension adjustment on the Aliums which made it difficult to clip out when needed.

Thanks for the reply.

I don't believe any Time pedals have adjustments on them. Maybe I'm wrong...

I've been riding them for around ten years and am just on my second set. I'm really looking to get a second set of pedals that can perform double duty between clipless and platform. Does anyone have experience with the Atac Z?
