Great Lakes - Horribly Hilly Hundreds - Roll Call

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just finished packing my van so I can leave tomorrow after breakfast (darn 9:00 hour drive). Oh well, I can tell you that I am ready to kick some Wisconsin hills arse.
I will see you guys tomorrow at 7:00.

Just got my son to bed. I have to print out maps, do mapmyride (Rowdy I'll post a link:thumb:), and tear down my BB on my rig. It was creaking a bit last time up there. Never retorqued after the last install, but figure it is due to be yanked and lubed.
Lube the pedals and cleats, change saddle bags to the man purse for extra food stuffs....
....and build a wheel for cyclpsycho or aham....
....
....
....gotta go....

I'm in for the 200K.
So, that's means you'll be in the mood for the 67 mile BBC ride the next day as a recovery, right? (It's just rolling hills!)

I've got parent duty that day, and what better way to spend a recovery ride on Father's day....right?:D

No time to plot the route on MapMyRide. Sorry guys. :( Guess I'll have to navigate the old fashion way....with maps. ;)

For what it's worth, somebody has already put in the 2007 route into Bikely. As far as I can tell, it looks the same as our 200K route. I don't have a garmin, but it looks like you can export as gpx and kml under the share menu. Here (http://http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/HHH-2007) is the link.

In fact, if you go to MapMyRide.com and put WI for location and HHH as keyword, you get all sorts of results including individual sections.
Well I am just now walking out the door, so let the journey begin. I will be taking my laptop so who knows maybe I will post a ride report when I get there (or should I say drive report).
I just sent "Fred" a PM - anyone who's driving from out of state should check out this website for road closings before you leave:
http://www.dot.state.wi.us/travel/incident-alerts.htm (http://www.bikeforums.net/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.dot.state.wi.us/travel/incident-alerts.htm)
I just tried pulling up the URL and they appear to be having technical difficulties. I do know that portions of Appleton and Fond du Lac are flooded and I94 out of Milwaukee towards Madison is closed.

Getting ready to leave. Start chilling the beer.
Well I just got here and checked in to the hotel. I thought I might leave a little drive report, so here it is......... It was long and it sucked:D.
I did take a few pictures along the way.
THE Bridge even though it is only an hour from home it is always worthy of a picture.

I saw this really tall guy walking on the side of the road in the U.P. he was in the middle of no ware just walking along on stilts, go figure.

Then I went through one of many WI. car washes

And with my luck I got stahr's message just now and this was Madison at 5:15 on one of a few of the Highways that was open.
