Just finished building up this Kona Ku frame (Columbus Altec tubing) I found on Ebay for $100. Had most components laying around but had to buy a new Kona fork, XT brakes, and V-brake road levers to complete project. Very rigid, but sweet ride...

I LOVE the mustache bars! Sweet looking rig!

Wanna sell it? J/k. I do like it though!

Now, if you made it into a SS! That would be "THE" bike!

I thought the same thing about the bars at first, but then I remembered how my hands always go numb on epic rides, and how I need to replace my old worn out shifters, then I saw your bar-end shifters.... Cool, looks like a very functional ride just like it is!

Frame for $100? What a deal, why don't I ever get in on those...

That was my primary reason to go with moustache bars. I can't go long distances on straight bars. Besides, I'm using this bike to pull a BOB trailer for those overnight campouts. The barend shifters work great as long as the ride is not too technical. So far, it's a very comfortable setup.

I put bar end shifters on my latest road bike project and I love them. Sometimes simple is better. Granted it's not quite as handy as the brake lever shifters, and I occasionally don't go ahead and grab a gear when I probably should, but overall I really like them.

Right now I'm running a set of Paul's thumbies on my Kona Jake, I'm thinking I like it.
I'm that close (holding finger and thumb almost togther) to throwing it on my Mountain Bike. But the moustach bars are giving me ideas

MMMMoustache bars!.... Bens bike? I couldn't find any in Australia, ended up importing them from Canada for a stalled commuter project. Nice bike youv'e made, good deal on the frame.
