Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Any of you out there that are doing some fun, rough, downhill singletrack? If so what're you riding?

Texas has a few rough decents on are courses but nothing compared to like Washington or something. I frequently pass people on them. I'm riding an 07 Salsa Moto Rapido
It would be fun if I wasn't on a !*#$%^*@!! XC hardtail. Riding a (about) '00 Trek 830 in our local Wed. night XC race series.

On my C'dale hard tail I've done most of the down hills on Mt Spokane. Huge grin factor every time.
I've always ridden hardtails and fully rigids but I enjoy the low speed tech more than the long downhills. I'm a pretty cautious descender by nature. Sop I tend to pass people on the climbs and get passed on the downhills. Oh well. It may even out a bit if I move to full suspension.
Edit: I guess I should say that I enjoy downhills, I'm just not very balls to the wall with them.

Fisher Tassajara. I like the Genesis geometry. This thing takes a beating in some of Norcal's rockiest terrain. I am amazed I have not had any significant mechanical issues (knocking on wood now).
I'm looking at a 5" travel FS for the future. But a hardtail is capable of doing it all... well almost.
Yeah, I found this trail that's about a mile long...getting up it sucks, but the downhill is great. The most important thing to have that is white knuckles and rubbery knees.
