Hello. I need some help on finding a good Hitch Bike Rack for my car. I am looking at various hitch racks and reviews but since not many people use them....its difficult. SO if anyone out there has a hitch rack....please post or email me with what model, how much you paid for it and the pros and cons of it. Thanks
What kind of hitch, ball or square? If square, what size?

I sell those too!
We deal with a company called Thule. They sell a hitch mounted carrier for about £60 or $100, and carry 3 bikes. They just leave a small pair of tubes behind the hitch when not in use. I've seen them tested on skidpads at high speed with handbrake turns executed.

I personally prefer this type of rack. I do some welding and built my own but didn't put a holder on for the front wheel. I keep it in the vehicle. It might be slightly less interesting to a thief without a front wheel.;)

Does anyone have good or bad experience with VW/Audi's bicycle adaptors for their roof racks? I bought the bolt-on crossbeams for my the factory-standard longitudinal rails on my Passat wagon, and they apparently offer bolt-on bicycle clamps for these.
These are great: http://www.twinnyload.nl/home.html

I love my Rhode Gear Interstate 3 rack.
Holds 3 bikes, folds out of the way so you dont need to take the bikes down to open the rear doors, fits a 2" receiver hitch, width adjustment for the arms to accomodate various frame sizes, and is extreeeemly overbuilt. Performance bike had a sale this past winter & I picked one up for the low price of $120 US.
The only complaint is that you're supposed to leave the bottom "socket" bolted to the hitch and remove just the upper "T" part of the rack (Ugly). I solved this by buying a locking hitch pin to replace the big bolt that holds the whole shebang on to the hitch & remove it all when I'm finished.
