Commuting - New commuter bike.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I picked up a Raleigh Mustang SIS today to replace my current commuter bike.
I paid $24.95 for the bike which had a rack and simi-slicks on it already. It needs a tune up but other than that works nice. I'll post a better picture tomorrow.

Nice bike to a nice price!
Mustang is also the name on a brand thatīs been making bicycles here in Sweden since 1923. I donīt know if they still exist though. Here is a pic on a Swedish Mustang.

Great price! I thought I got a good deal on mine (a Trek 820 MTB circa '98) for $48 (at a pawn shop, no less). ;) I'll try to post a pic later today.
Is the new frame a better size for you? IIRC your previous bike frame was a little large.
Happy trails!

Actually, my old frame was a bit on the small side. It was not comfortable at all after about 7 miles. This frame is larger and feels much better.

Nice looking bike Anders. I have never heard of that company. Is that your ride?
I think those handle bars would be difficult to use.
Happy Holidays!

I like those bars :-) looks kind of reto -70th. But like you say, brobably difficult to use or get used to.

Score! Man, if I came across something like that I'd have three bikes. Of course then my wife would make me live out on the balcony with them.
a bike with fenders and a rack, for 25 bucks... i'm envious. i've been wanting a rear rack but i don't wanna pay a whole bunch for it.

Actually, I had the fenders on my old commuter bike. I just moved them over to the new one.
