View Full Version : HHH Hotel share and or Carpool

I am staying at the Village Inn Motel in Mt. Horeb (just a few miles from the start) both Friday and Saturday nights. The room has two twin beds and is $79 a night. (pretty girls preferred)

As far as the carpool I will be driving over on Friday and back on Sunday. Here is the route.....

wow... how long of a drive is that? dang lake michigan... can you just jump on the ferry with your car?

Mapquest says.....Estimated Time: 8.0 hours 44 minutes Estimated Distance: 467.48 miles.

I did check on the ferry options there are three and with loading and unloading times I would save maybe a half an hour. Then factoring gas savings vs ferry cost it would cost just over an extra $100. The real kicker is there are only set times the ferry travels, so if I get there early I have to wait and if I am late I would be totally screwed.

Well the HHH is worth the long drive. I bet you are doing the 200k?, right? I'm soliciting for friends to hang out in the park with waiting for 200K'ers after I'm done puking from my 100K:D

I bet it's beautiful where you live in that part of Michigan :)

Yup I am in for the 200K, but if I finish before your friend we can have a beer and share puking stories:D.

And yes this part of Michigan is beautiful. I wouldn't live any ware else, great rolling hills with very little traffic perfect for biking.

Thats why I'll be riding by myself when I'm up that way end of June. Dont want to slow anyone down to my speed:D

My June schedule is busy but let me know maybe we can put a ride together. If you are that slow I will just ride hard the day before and do my cool down ride with you. :lol:

Friday night is taken but Saturday is still open.
