So I'm stealing this idea from Spingineer, over in NorCal ... it's a cool thread, and we need one in here.

What did you recently buy? Show it off here.

I'll go first!

Tricia didn't ride the Sequoia Century with me. I was going to get a Sequoia jersey, but I didn't love them. Plus, there was a stand selling Sheila Moon stuff, so I got this for Tricia. After all, someone should get a jersey out of this, right?
And, she is trying to catch up with NorCal's Taxi777 on jerseys. And she's sweet. And she deserves treats. And it goes with her bike.

I purchased two bicycle items this week.

A Planet Bike Airship CO2 inflator and ordered a pair of Wellgo MG-1 magnesium platform pedals.

Not nearly as stylish as your purchase.

A 1986 Trek Elance 400. Needed tires, chain and cables. Sweet ride. Love the bar tape.

Do you attach it to your handlebars or does it mount on a rear rack?

I don't understand how do you mount that to your bike.

Another poster was equally as puzzled over my purchase. :p :D

I got these brake levers and some cables and housing so I could finish up the dirt/road project bike. All I need now is some black bar tape.

And this arrived from Amazon.com. (I don't like putting stuff in my jersey pockets for some reason. Feel like Kwazimodo.)

Beautiful! And so is the gear!

We bought new brakes and a rotor for our Camry. I'd take a pic but Cgallagh, bike slave, car slave and husband extraordinaire (sp), has already installed them. ;)

and mounted it onto "The Beast". Now I can watch my potential
demise approaching from the rear (and hit the ditch if need be).

Possibly the best bar mounted mirror ever made. It will even work on drop bars as the stalk allows it to be mounted out of hands way.

Everyone's got to have at least one "trophy bike" in their life. This is how mine is taking shape.

(The red band is electrical tape to stop the fork/handlebars from swinging around while the build is in progress).

I don't have a picture of mine but it's pretty boring, too:( I'm having new screens installed in my patio room. For some reason I think I would have been happier if the purchase were bike related.

No good at posting pics, but just got my new saddle yesterday-not a fan of narrow saddles, and this one seems to fit well: http://www.serfas.com/product.asp?ProductID=58 Only have a short ride on it so far, will report back once it has some miles on it, but at least now my sit bones don't feel like they are trying to work their way off of the edges of one of those skinny saddles! BTW--Lorica leather isn't leather, it's a synthetic, but that's ok with me, though real leather would have been better.

A couple of tires and tubes for me, tubes and rim tape for my wife, and six(6) bikes at the sherifs sale for $75.00. The prizes where the Gary Fisher(for my wife), and the Giant(daughter). There was also a Trek with a broken fork, which will be used for parts, and had a spare set of wheels. The others where of the Huffy varitey that will be left on the side of the road for the local population that doesn't drive, or Freecycled. They will be made safe to ride first.

I'm not a bright color person. Never wear bright colors, never buy anything with bright colors. The boldest color I'll buy is bright blue. Both of my two primary bikes are silver, so I went with silver pedals, after narrowing it down to dark gray or silver.

Oh, I forgot that I picked up one more thing last week ... a kickstand! My Bridgestone has never had one in the 21 years that I've owned it. But now that it is currently configured as a city cruiser, I decided to put one on it.

Hey, I biked to the M&M Cafe in Monticello, WI about two weeks ago and did not get a button!

That's a 17 mile ride, each way, from my house, with about 16 miles of that being on the rail trail.

I was given a $100 gift cert for my favorite bike shop, from my boss, as a thank you. I knew I wouldn't have a problem spending it, but this has been a great place for more ideas, course now the ideas have exceeded the amount of the gift cert. Oh well, it will be fun!
