Hi
I have a dahon boardwalk with the cheap stock tires and I'm looking for a new set of 20"s to be used on new york streets.
Also, are there inner tire tubes that support more weight?
Thanks

Schwalbe Marathons are an obvious choice- not too heavy, but tough and reasonably quick. If your frame can cope with your weight, surely the tubes will?

I've been pretty happy with Tioga Comp Pools. They're 20x1.75 slick, and have held up for over a year of commuting on potholed New England Streets. They're relatively cheep. They can be had for $19.97 at Calhoun (here) (http://calhouncycle.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=115&idproduct=468). Some people don't like them becuse they have a ridge in the middle that may cause slipping as the tire is put at an angle on tight high speed turns. I haven't found it a problem, but that may be because I'm not very fast. A similar, if more expensive tire, is the Avocet Fasgrip 20x1.75, which I've read has a really round profile. It's available at Garelan for $26.95 (here, about 2/3 down the page (http://www.gaerlan.com/bikeparts/parts/406wheel/wheelbmx.html)). Many also really like the Schwalbe Big Apples and, as StuAff does, the Marathons (available at both Gaerlan and Calhoun and many other places), but they too are more expensive than the Comp Pools.
I'm not the most, and perhaps the least, qualified on this forum to give technical evaluations, but it's not my impression that inner tubes, as long as they're the right size, differ among one another in weight bearing capacity. I'm sure others will correct this if it's wrong.
