I am coming to visit family in Mississippi from Colorado. I was wondering if anybody knows of any good routes that I could ride. If you know any please let me know. We will be staying in Hattisburg just South of Jackson. Mountain Bike or Road love them both. Thanks.

I live south of Hattiesburg so I don't know much there but have a web page for them at work. When I get in I will post it for you.

clydesdale,
Hattiesburg is the eastern terminus of Mississippi's finest paved bike trail, the Longleaf Trace. You can do 40+ miles one way, to the other end at Prentiss (where I live) and there are lots of small county roads with some hills if you find the trace too boring. Also lots of nice hilly backroad loops around the Prentiss end, I can provide more details if you're interested. The Longleaf Trace passes through southern woodlands and farm country, small towns, etc. Practically empty of users on weekdays.

Well I did the longleaf trace. I rode to one end and back 81 miles. Let me tell you, you guys can have this heat. It was a nice trail and I did enjoy it. Thanks.
