I was riding the 4300 the other day, down to the bike shop plus a couple of errands. Not far but a few inclines along the way. It really took me till I was almost home to notice my legs were starting to feel good and that I'd keep going at my same speed more or less and really pumped instead of slowing way down in lower gears. I may have dropped one or two but not a chain ring.

And then I noticed I was just where I wanted to be, just enough space between my backside and the saddle to slide a paper inbetween, the weight on my legs pumping and very little on the hands with elbows bent and shoulders back but relaxed.

Needless to say I had to get home and at least get a nap in before work but...That saddle / backside / legs, etc. relationship has to be one of my main form goals.

It's funny how getting everything in sync creeps up on you.

It takes me 20 miles into a ride to get settled in and relaxed then my body takes over and I can let my mind wonder.

I'm in the same boat. I did my first 73 miles last weekend, and it was about mile 43 that I realized I felt really good and my legs were not really tired at all. It's nice to hit that stride. Keep up the good work.
