Been having trouble with fluid collection and pain on the right side of the boys. Righty swelled up and the doctor drained 60 cc of fluid off two weeks ago. It is back. I have to see the urologist Tuesday. I hope he doesn't tell me riding is making it worse. I've been riding at least 5-6 days a week for the last year and don't want to be put on a rest.

I have two. Mainly flaired up iin off season due to spinning. I was advised to take at least 2-4 weeks off and that helped. Sounds like yours is worse, you may be looking at removal. Good luck!

Tried to ride a century today. I had to bail at 40 miles. I guess I'll have to stay off the bike for a few days and see what the urologist says.

Have you thought about switching your saddle for a while? I use a Spiderflex hornless seat on my general purpose bike, and I have used it on a road bike in the past. It's really comfortable and might help things heal, while still allowing you to ride.
The thing weighs a lot (it is not a racing seat) but it is really comfortable to sit on and ride for hours straight.

I can ride for several hours on this thing wearing unpadded, normal running shorts.
I've had a few negative comments from someone (who hadn't even tried this particular seat) saying that hornless seats are dangerous and that you can't control your bike or turn aggressively with a hornless seat, but I think he's wrong (he admitted he hadn't ever tried the seat). I can coast hands free with this seat and turn as aggressively as I can with a horned seat.
The one thing this seat does do is push you forward a little (more weight on your arms) so I raised the handlebars on my road bike when I was using the Spiderflex seat. It's not a racing saddle, but maybe using something like the Spiderflex seat for training runs will let you ride while your body recovers. You could still do your centuries and training runs, but not worry about pressure/chafing on your undercarriage.
Spiderflex has a 30 day money back guarantee. I don't work for them, but I really like the seat.

I bought and tried the Spiderflex. It did not work for me. I couldn't get it to quit hurting my buttocks and legs. I returned it. I am awaiting the refund.
