Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just received four of these, handmade by Stacey Hooper in Vancouver BC, Canada. I found her on Flickr and thought these bags would be a good fit for my Freeloaders on the ol' Surly Big Dummy. Turns out they're a great fit: 12" height, 9" wide, 9" depth (gusset). Made with a cotton/nylon canvas and nylon webbing handles, four of 'em make a nice set inside the Freeloaders (2 bags per side).
Different colors and patterns are available, too.
Prices: $20 US each, two for $35 or four for $60. Shipping varies on location but she's estimating $10-15.
Interested? You can contact her at crankypants(at)shaw.ca. PayPal accepted.

Looks good.:)
The wife got some of these cheap, reusable shopping bags that are becoming more popular and cost something like a buck and a quarter at the grocery store. I absconded with a few, sprayed them with Scotch Guard, and viola. Reusable, removable, waterproof pannier liners.

What is Scotch Guard? Is it to make it water resistant? Asking becouse I am looking for a solutionto touch up the colour of fabric when faded. Thinking of panniers and similar that is still usable but looking bad becouse of sun.
I guess for a small area a waterproof marker pen could do the job, but who would do the job? Hoping to find something to spray on or paint on that wil not crack when fabric is moweing.
I`we been thinking of lining my baskets with bags like the abowe.

Scotchgard. My bad on the spelling, I should have checked that.

There are other products like it on the market.

My local library gave away similar bags last year. Also picked up a half dozen or so that were being given away at a recent conference I attended.
Brooks sent me one with one of the saddles I bought.

Whole Foods also sells durable grocery totes for 99 cents. Not the most environmentally-friendly thing as they're made from synthetic fibers, but they should last for several years anyway.
