My uncle has a cabin that is within viewing distance of the old railroad track - and I remember when the trains actually ran on it too. And walked it quite a distance when the rail ties were being removed, etc.

Thinking of taking my mtb down there this next weekend ---- ride the trail a bit as well as hitting some well used deer trails that I understand are still there.

Anyone ride this here? Recently? Pretty country there!

Thx!

Not sure when you were last here, but about 5 years ago this has been converted to a premier railtrail...best in the east.
I ride it periodically, a great ride. Last winter it was extended another 15 miles, so the full length now is around 80 miles one-way.

Cool, the last I knew it was 60 miles. Looking forward to it - it is very pretty there - a quick walk thru my uncle's wooded backyard and I'm there. Train was always fun going thru there when we were kids.
