I picked up a Bridgestone 450 a month or so ago and have fixed it up nicely. Not exactly original but I bought it for riding, not restoring.

Is there a good source of info on Bridgestone out there that can help me date the thing?

Try the iBob list (http://www.bikelist.org/mailman/listinfo/internet-bob), where Bridgestone owners hang out.

There seems to be plenty of info on the later and more popular models like the RB-1 and XO-1 but not so much is out there for the lesser models. Best info is early eighties mid range all-rounder road bike with triple butted Ishiwata tubing.

Since I have upgraded just about everything but the frame and brakes anyway, I guess that's all I really need to know.

The ibob folks seem to be my kind of bike weirdos though, so that is a good link for me, Thanks.
