Bicycle Mechanics - YouTube vids

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anyone else ever use the how-to videos on youtube? If you struggle with adjusting a derailluer go give them a try. What was once difficult for me is now so easy.

They supplement a written procedure, and those "how-to" vids frequently omit information or are just plain wrong or use incorrect or un-ideal procedures.

To better understand with some hands on visual yes I did looked up how to adjust on youtube and thats the single reason im able to do it today. Having a manual might be a good thing but its hard to understand with out someone to show you if you have never done it. It took youtube example before I finally fully understood it and I think thats far better than just a manual alone.

Online repair and maintenance videos are the best when I was learning to do stuff to my bikes.
I learned a ton from the late Sheldon Brown too.
