Heres some pics. of the rain bike I built up early this year. The whole project cost me about NZ$120 = US$60 !!! with parts scavanged & bought off real time & E auctions ect. The frame is a mystery as it had all ready been stripped & primed ,I just finnished it with clear-coat. The original chainwheels are now on my Frankenroadbike ,so the Rainrunner has ended up with the dubious biopace, till I can source some more decent alloy round ones! I had to mount the rear brake callipers on the other side of the brake-bridge to accomodate the pannier rack. 27" wheels with105 hubs .circa:'70s ????

I missed these two:
Nice bike greywolf. It's machines like this that'll still be running long after some of the boutique bikes are dust.
Good thing you explained that rear brake mounting, I was about to double check my meds.
Well done.
I tried the same rear brake mounting scheme on my first Capo, which I equipped with Weinmann sidepulls.

Thanks, I was a bit doughtfull about placing the callipers on the opposite side of the bridge , I was told at a LBS that it would place extra strain on the bridge , but when I thought about it , it should'nt make any differance? Iuse the front brake for most braking the back one I use as a sheet anchor :p
JohnE did you have any probs. with yours ????
