pictures from my Sunday morning jaunt. (It was hot as hell for 9am in northern Massachusetts about 88 degrees) This is actually a lake not too far from my house. My ride takes me around the entirety of the lake. It's not a long ride (about 6-8 miles depending on what turns I take). Here you go scenery pictures from my route

I'm sitting here expecting another couple inches of rain after 6 yesterday and tornadoes, so I'm longingly looking at these shots wishing I was up north riding one of the lakes. Very beautiful route :)

Thank you. I wish I was into cycling when I was going to school at Grinnell College in Grinnell Iowa. There were some beautiful places to ride there. I wish you the best when it comes to the weather. Tornadoes are scary

Ok, If you want to see a picture of the bike you can see it in the vintage post

but I'll post one here too without me on it (i dont have any pics of me on it)

1970 Raleigh Racer which I am rebuilding (it is rideable now) I have some modern components on it

I'm with 10wheels, I like ride pictures. Pics of the people on the bikes!:D

Nice scenery but I guess I'm one that doesn't pay much attention to scenery on rides, I like the riders! I want to see Blood Sweat and Tears (no, not the band!);)

I don't know if you can see blood sweat and tears anymore (are they even still together). :p

To get some ride pictures with me on the bike I would need to ride with others. So that my picture could be taken. I currently am a lone wolf but i am keeping open the possibility of riding with others.

I have a few former coworkers (back in my post office days) who have been into cycling for a lot longer than I have and they ride big distances. I could not do that yet, I am not in shape enough but when I do reach that kind of physical fitness I will possibly join them (they have already extended an invitation and I might join them for portions of their rides. Their normal ride goes through the area of my normal ride but you know they add an extra 20-40 miles depending on the day. I know both of them are doing a century later this summer but I don't know where or when.

Also riding for me is a zen like activity. I enjoy getting outside and seeing whats around me...

I need the calmness I have 2 job interviews this week for summer job opportunities at law firms. (I am a law student). Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be scortchers here and I only own a heavier wool suit :(

I think I rode around that lake before. The Granite State Wheelmen used to have a regular group ride one weekday evening last year in Newburyport that I went to. Nice area once you get away from the high-traffic roads.

Yeah the lake is on the border of Newburyport and West Newbury. It is awesome because even on a busy day you see maybe 10 cars in an hour rather than being on the busy roads. I don't trust my rebuilt ride enough yet to take her on busier streets.

Beautiful country for riding. Do you have water skis on your bike?

I love seeing great scenery on rides and great scenery in my opinion has to have water or mountains but preferably both.

More ride pics from everyone please.

Well if you're ever up in the neighborhood of Portsmouth, NH, let me know and we can plan a group ride. I've been leading some successful slower-paced group rides in the Rochester/Dover area. We usually do 15-16 MPH over 30 or so miles, but I'd be open to something even more laid back than that (or, for example, could ride out to Portsmouth and we could ride together for a shorter leg).

Good luck with your interviews!
