hi
this spring in my rear derailer (campagnolo) is broken. it's the spring that generates the tension of the pulley-case. I have been looking for a replacement on the internet but with no luck. Is this spring acturally available as a single replacement part? what does it call exactly? or do I have to replace the whol rear derailer?

my bike is a more than 10 years old dancelli racing bike (2x7 speed), if I have to buy a new rear derailer, what model shall I buy than?

thanks

check with your lbs and see if they have a used rear dérailleur of campagnolo ,you can have and you can change out the spring . your lbs may also have nos of dérailleur than may work for you .

You are hardcore, man. Usually when the spring is shot, I go for a new derailure.

I suppose a Campy derailure might be a different story, though.

You don't say which model Campag rear mech this came from. Nigel Scott at www.campyoldy.co.uk stocks most parts even for really old models, have a look at his stock list to see if he has one. The prices are in Sterling (UK Pounds) but he will ship all over the world. Good luck!

Lickton's (www.lickbike.com) sells small parts for Campy. I found a replacement barrel adjuster for my Veloce RD listed on their site but decided to use a spare downtube barrel when I saw that it was priced at $18!
