Hi, i just draged a bmx out of the junkyard. I would like to refurbish it but buying parts from ebay will cost me £75 and half of it is delivery cost alone. (England businesses doesn't have free shipping like US does).
I would like you guys to help me evaluate the expected cost of spare parts.
Bike Purpose: general short distance commuting.
Bike:
1. Frame
2. Wheels + flat tires
3. jammed sproket
4. Seat with sponge need replacement.
5. Cranks with one pedal missing.
Will need:
1. Brakes, whole set. front and back.
2. Chain (chain tensioners needed?)
3. Grip
4. Pedals
5. Tires n tubes
6. Tools (if i do it myself)
I'm on a student budget. You guys think i can get it done for under £30? I could buy a 2nd hand really nice commuting bike for £75.
There aren't many shops nearby so it's difficult for me to do a comparison.
