Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Slooooooooooooowwww

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Still slow. Time to start emailing the advertisers and advise them of the site's chronic errors.

Ironic that the "Quick Reply" takes 30 seconds.

Very slow performance started for me about a week ago...
I thought it was my computer, glad to hear it's not.
Slowness continues: 10:45 AM ET.
I did need a breeak from BF, but I didn't realize it would be involuntary.

this is getting ridiculous.
Agreed...it is currently pathetically slow. To the point where the site is unusable.
Any comments from IB tech support staff?

11:52am slow again.

Ironically, the window in which I posted the comments above is still "Posting Quick Reply - Please Wait"...it's been over 25 minutes now, and still no timeout nor screen refresh from the quick reply.
Again I ask - comments from IB tech support and/or management?

I'm a new member and I'm glad to see that it isn't just me. It's been slow all morning.
One quirky thing I'm finding is even if I post a reply just once I'm getting dups. I know enough not to keep clicking "Submit," yet still seeing many of my posts showing up twice where I have to go back in and delete one.
Loving the community! Hoping this gets straightened out soon!
Please either upgrade the server to something much faster or give BF it's own dedicated servers so there's no competition for bandwidth and/or resources.
While it's damn annoying for us end users, the advertisers must be livid with all the downtime during peak cycling season.

We've had some system-wide issues at IB for the last few days which have affected BikeForums in particular in the early mornings (at least, early morning here on the West Coast -- late morning on the East Coast). We took the site down briefly this afternoon to make some server changes which should ameliorate or eliminate the problems that you've been seeing at that time of day.
Yesterday, we made some changes that should have, in part at least, fixed some of the hanging posts issues. Are any of you still having trouble with posts being slow?

seemed good today.
Is it just me, or has the site once again become pathetically slow?
Once again the forum is down/slow.
The Idea that this is effecting all Internet Brands sites is BS. I just went to the Internet Brands home page ( http://www.internetbrands.com/ib ) and randomly clicked on links to 15 of the sites which they own and all are working fine, with of course the exception of BF. These slowdowns/crashes have been a known problem for BF since before IB bought them; in the half year that IB has owned BF why haven't they fixed a known problem?

+1
It's doing it again.
How about a response from IB?
