I'm thinking about taking this girl I know out to dinner at Kampai, a sushi place, in the Addison Circle area. I'm just curious if anyone has been there. If so, what's the environment like for a casual date? Is the food typically tasty and enjoyable? After that we may go to that park across the street, and watch the sun go down or something, followed by ice cream. I just want the dinner to go well, because it sets the stage for whatever follows!

I've been there several times. I would highly recommend it. Sit at the sushi bar, those guys are great!

Now I'm thinking that if she doesn't like sushi we could still get an entree at Kampai, but just up the block is a salad place called 'Greenz' or something. I wonder if that would be a better place for a light dinner. Hm, I wonder if it is a sit-down and order place. Anyone?

I don't know how I stumbled upon this thread, but did you ever take her there? I was going to say it's a great place with good food. And a chick on a date is hopefully going to watch you over the fish filleting so sit outside on the patio and enjoy the scenery.

That would be the perfect place for a casual date. Then take two steps next door and have coffee and dessert at the Italian place. Walk around the corner and get a cigar, a little further and you're in that park with all the palm and cypress trees. The other direction and you're in the water park area.

Addision Circle would be a great place for a casual date.

Then again...You posted on this months ago....

Took my wife to a sushi bar once. Told her the little green lump of paste was guacamole. Then I remembered that she really, really hates spicy stuff.
