Anybody know if it matters when you get a massage? I'm racing Sat and Sun, want to schedule a massage for Sat. evening. If I finish my race Sat at 2, should I eat / nap first, then massage later? Or massage asap and have the big meal later?

I seem to recall the usual pro stage racing strategy is finish, recovery food, shower/rest, meal, then massage just before bedtime. Is that just because of logistics?

Like you say, as far as I know from watching movies/reading about pro cycling the ideal is to eat/nap and then get the massage.

a massage anytime for me would be ideal...

but ya, you don't want to go right after cuz your muscles will be too tense. Let them settle for at least 2 hours and then go in i would say
