Tandem Cycling - Let the fun times roll

We have had the Co-Mo Speedster for two months now and we are loving it.
Saturday we did our first metric century, actually 110 km. It was a real work out.
We did 68 miles and averaged 11.4 mph. We love riding together as a couple.

Congrats on the new Speedster and on riding that first metric. Where do you do it at and how was the terrain?

We rode a route near Santa Cruz, CA. The route went upinto the hills to Watsonville and then toward the coast and back up into Capitola. The weather was great.
The bike was a pleasure to ride. Even though we spent six hours in the saddles. The ride was supported with water stops and picnic lunch on the beach at a State Park. After the ride the bike club provided a pizza party for the riders.
It was a graduation ride for academy students of the Almaden Cycle Touring Club of San Jose, Ca.
The ACTC club teaches beginning riders the basics of cycling in groups, some repair lessons, and safety skills.
