When I was down at the lbs, the owner told me that your elbows with the Areobars should be 90 degrees.

I came home and put the FX on the trainer so I could sit on it and get in the position. I brought the bars in a little and changed the angle. Went for a ride. Much easier to get into and more comfortable.

Any ideas on Aerobar position?

Your post prompted a question for me. What would be the optimal distance from the center line of the bike to the location of the elbow supports. :D

The elbow supports are held on by 2 screws. The top one is used as a pivot and the bottom is cut to allow for inward/outward movement. I originally set them straight, outward more is where I'm comfortable. Where they are set now it's about 5" to center at the top of the forearm rest and 5 1/2" at the bottom of same rest.
