Just read the article. Real bad news for Wisconsin Dells. Looks like no more Lake Delton.:(

Wow... the weather has been extremely painful last weekend. My wife and kids were hiding under the pool table in the basement when the tornado touched down in Lansing, a few miles away from my house.

Then over here ... the highway patrol closed westbound US 94 lastnight between Milwaukee and Madison because they were afraid the Rock River was going to crest over the bridge AND the folks in Mukwonago are/were afraid that the damn holding back Lower Phantom Lake was going to let go (built in 1902) and wash out the town of Big Bend, down stream on the Fox River. Residents near Big Bend were told that if they hear the tornado sirens that means EVACUATE NOW!
I can't imagine what the Fox River looks like down in Illinois ... up here it's normally a pretty sedate little river, but from what I've seen of it 50 miles south of here ... it's pretty big in it's 'quiet state'.
This was all last night before I went to work ... dunno what the situation is this morning, but all this water screws up a lot of cycling routes I tell 'ya!
