This is the bike that I originally tried to make for my wife as an introduction to fixed gearness. After trying it once, she declared it "Wierd" and refused to ride it. Another approach was needed to salvage this project. I changed the hubs to Paul single speed and otherwise left everything as I had done it for fixedgear. The repaint was done in British Racing Green and the components were otherwise the same. The usual Shimano running gear and Brooks saddle and Carradice bag and the addition of SKS fenders make for a great "go to the store" bike. She will ride this bike now and we happily share the bicycle experience. Okay, it's not fixed, but at least she is not left at home.
