This is one of those - "I've got a friend with a problem" type things :)
But I'd say this would happen to me with the same bike as I'm about the same weight.
A friend who weighs around 290 has a big full carbon frame and has problems with the seat post slipping. He says that because the seatpost and frame are both carbon - it's impossible to clamp them properly and he has to readjust his saddle height all the time.
Anyone else experienced this?
Any ideas?
Adrian.

Yup. I had a carbon seat post and had a problem with it slipping, so I tightened the clamp real hard and a couple of days later I was hauling down a hill at 25 and the post snapped in two! Over on the Bike Mechanics forum they told me I messed up by over tightening the clamp on the carbon post.
So, I learned my lesson. I bought a Nashbar aluminum seat post for $15 to replace my broken CF post and haven't had any problems since.
Now, you have a CF frame and I don't, but there is a way to fix this, I'd take this to the Bike Mechanics forum and get their opinion...
This shouldn't happen. Is he using carbon-specific seatpost grease on his seatpost? i.e, the kind that has a bit of grit in it which adds a bit of friction.

I did a search on the forum (should have done that to start with) and found quite a few threads about this .
Thanks zpl - your suggestion seems like the way to go - grease with a bit of grit in it - whats need is something like the following...
FSA Carbon Seatpost Installation compound.
Heres a link to it: http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/CM407B09-Fsa+Carbon+Seatpost+Installation+Compoun.aspx (http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/CM407B09-Fsa+Carbon+Seatpost+Installation+Compoun.aspx)
There are probably others?
Cheers
Adrian.
