NW Tandem Rally, anyone?

Is anyone attending the upcoming NW Tandem Rally in south of Portland in McMinnville, OR july 4th weekend?


We're curious if we'll get to meet any forum members as we live in Portland and will be attending.

We don't live in Portland, and we can not attend the July 4th ride, and we don't have a tandem... yet!

But...

We are planning on getting a tandem in the next couple of weeks...... We do get down to Portland frequently and would love to hear of other Pac NW tandem riders that we can plan events with.

My girls and I plan to be there on our Bike Friday triple. All I have to do is pack the bike up for the trip from Wisconsin. It'll be our first time traveling with the bike since we got it in 2002 -- and our last, as we are replacing it with a new three-fer. At McMinnville, look for the Green BF sporting a "for sale" sign!

Check out www.evergreentandemclub.org. The club president (Randall and Barb Angell) will be riding to the rally with at least one other couple.

Did atttend the ones in Boise and Eugene a few years back. Fun events!

yup, we'll be there representing Canada. Actually, I'll be wearing my US national team jersey from my US Masters team trip to Ukraine in 1991 on the 4th of July ride (I'm a dual citizen). Trudy always wears her Canadian jersey at these events. We'll be on the nearly-vintage Kuwahara tandem with the MASSIVE carbon forks.

We will be attending, we are from Victoria Bc This will be our first ralley and are looking forward to the whole thing.
Do not know which routes we are going to do, wife has a bad knee and the longer the ride the worse it gets.

Thanks for the update. We picked up a used (but not much) Cdale for $900. This thing doesn't have 1000 miles on it, I'm sure of it...... after a tune up and new tires I feel like we got a new bike! We would love to attend some rides but we are committed on the weekend of the 4th. Anyone riding to Vancouver the end of July for their fireworks show!
