From my experience, all Cannondale's use a 27.2 size post.

My old '97 CAD2, '03 1FG, and my '04 F600 use the same post size. The size should not be different for road or mtn. frames.

27.2 is right I think. All of the Cannondales I have ever owned have had that size.

While I can't confirm, it every C-dale I have worked on or owned(4) has a 27.2 seatpost.

In that case 27.2 would be good, there don't seem to be lots of carbon posts choices, they only come in the popular sizes.

I worked at a shop that was a Cannondale Dealer, yep, they are all 27.2.

BTW, don't grease your carbon seatpost! And you're going to have a heck of a time removing the grease from the inside of your existing frame!
