I'm thinking of planning a long road-trip from Dayton to Cincinnati. The question is, most of the trail is supposed to be paved, but parts of the trail may have 'crushed limestone'. I have a Giant FCR3 with the original tires. They are thinner than mountain bike tires, and I wanted to know how the bike will fair in that. Thoughts?

what I said in the katy trail thread:
"Its been raining a lot here, and I rode about 50 miles on relatively flat crushed limestone this weekend. I was on 28's and I did not have any traction problems."
Just don't take the corners too fast.
Oh, and enjoy the ride. :thumb:

Sweet! I already have the route planned out and everything. I used www.mapmyrun.com (http://www.mapmyrun.com) and planned out a good route. It takes me from Beavercreek to Xenia, then south to Cincinnati.

I have a hotel reserved in Milford east of Cincinnati. I'm preparing for a bike ride on my birthday. I'd like to bike from Dayton to see my friends and family in Columbus!
