Road Cycling - Broken Frames

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have an '03 Masi Gran Corsa that I have only had for roughly five months. After taking it down off of the wall at work to throw some air in the tyres, I noticed that I have what looks like some small cracks on the left side of my b/b shell and a stress fracture near the bottom of the down tube.
Should I be worried about this, or am I just jumping to conclusions? I did break my CAD2 mtn. frame this summer (if it matters). This is my first road bike and I have only put maybe 200 miles on it so far.
not familiar with that frame, but it should be checked out at LBS

Forgot to post; I work at my LBS and I won't be seeing my boss until Jan. 4th. Would it be safe to ride once or twice before then?

the new masi's are built with superlight alum., correct? this would worry me if there really is a stress fracture at the bb. but this should not have anything to do with you breaking your mtb. since the bike is so new, it sounds like a defect in the frame. I would not ride.
