Well, my little Tour of Wisconsin with my sister visiting from York, PA has gotten off to a WILD start.
Just hours after picking her up at the airport Saturday, we headed to my LBS to fit her to her bike.
We couldn't resist, and ended up in a heap of trouble in a nasty storm with rising flood waters, and mystery turds.

Anyway, after taking pictures from a ride around here at my home base yesterday in Stage Two, which you can also see there, I learned something.
I coached her well and the kid sister knows how to ride her bike for sure.
The next ride will be this Saturday, and we plan to ride past the Backyard Bikes shop in La Grange on a route that they have posted on their site. Weather forecast looks great at this time...sun and 76.

Now, this won't be any hammerfest mind you, but we rode nice and steady for 44.5 miles yesteday with some climbing, and she hung right with me. (hold all jokes about how easy that is please)
She's never done a group ride. Most of her rides are 15-20 miles and by herself out there in PA, so I thought she might get a kick out of a cycling group on the road.
Rough estimate would be a window of riding 10:00-ish to noon-ish, with a little lunch stop after the ride at the deli in the bike shop there.
If interested, post here or PM me about the plan.
Please do keep in mind that if CyLowe decides to attend, we WILL get lost...but that's half the fun! ;)
P.S.
How cool was this of my sister?
She surprised me when she got into town with matching custom jersey's she designed, featuring a Tour of Wisconsin logo and a picture that she herself took out at the lake house when visiting two years ago.
She's really into it and having a ball.
....and psimet....she rides as GIANT!
