HI Guys - Well it's official. I rode over 100 miles on my bike. Yay! So total mileage to date - 117!

Today's ride - I joined the Southern Bicycle League's Jack's Lunch Ride.. What fun! Though i must say as I was riding the 26.3 miles...at times I, too, was thinking wow is this hard! Seems like each ride just gets harder. More miles, or more hills. Anyway - I am immensely proud of myself. (2 hours 17 minutes...not including our lunch stop).

The ride was "moderate" not a really fast pace - but hills. I was able to get up them though...and got pretty tired towards lunch. As we stopped for lunch (Mile 23) and I sat there waiting for my Greek Chicken Salad (Dressing on the side) I was feeling sort of nautious... I had some OJ and gradually got better. I take it as a sign I worked my butt off!

I have only a picture they will post to the Jack's Lunch Ride page - here I am before the race in my spiffy new pink shirt... 73601

Oh - and I weighed myself today. Down 15 pounds from April 12 and 2.5 pounds from when I got the bike. I have a ways to go...but I am really excited about the progress and the journey. Biking rocks!

Thats 117 miles in total of all my rides... :)

26 or so miles today... a century are you out of your mind? Not yet.... But thanks for the vote of confidence.

Is it my 6th ride ever? Well maybe not...Last year I had a few rides with the ex-boyfriend - We did the flat trail - Silver Comet (maybe 20 miles) I borrowed his road bike...and then once I did it myself on a comfort bike - 26 miles...but not for a long time. So a week ago I struck out on my own, bought the bike...and started out on my rides.

So 6th ride ever? NO... But I will take the kudos...cause it's my 6th ride since I got the spiffy bike...

Well, a cumulative century then....I misunderstood....

When you ride an actual century, I'll award you a more spectacular certificate. :D Meantime, it's still the fastest I think, that a forum member has topped even 100 miles cumulative, here in C&A from a brand new start, riding a bike. ;)

Great Job!
As long as you see the inches disappearing, you're going good. Some of the fat will become muscle, so you don't lose that weight. You're still healthier though!
BTW, I weigh 235, which is what I weighed 30 years ago. It's just that the waist is 10" bigger!:)

Nice job -- and I'm sure we'll all eagerly await the first century in a day report! At the pace you're going, it can't be tooooo far away!!!
