Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets - Stupid Airzound question

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Stupid Airzound question: where/what is the trigger? Do I push down on the red "lever" on the top of the horn in this picture (http://www.deltacycle.com/images/items/airzound2.jpg)?
I've been pushing it down, and it doesn't work. The Schrader valve opens before the lever is fully pushed, and I hear air hissing out. But no horn.
Odd...
Yes it is. Sounds like you might not have enough air pressure in the bottle!

On my Airzound, the trigger is the flat circle. Halfway up the airzound, just push on it.
I think I had it up to about 60 psi... maximum was 80 psi so I assumed I'd be good. I'll try again.

There's a valve next to the mount. Try adjusting it. The more open, the louder the horn, but shorter the life of a full bottle.
yeah... i tried the big red nob mid-way up (didn't seem to move), pressing the trigger thing that covers the Schrader valve, and adjusting the valve. Nothing worked, but i haven't tried since posting.
I'll have to remember to try again when it isn't 10pm (I live in a condo).
Thanks!

The "big red knob" is nothing. It's part of the plenum chamber.
Click on my picture and you'll see that it's a little valve on the opposite side that basically smashes the hose to cut off air. Turn it so that it smashes the hose less.
I figured out the problem in this thread (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=336832&highlight=airzound).
Basically, you have to "gently pull tube to reset valve after refilling". After I did that it worked like a champ.
I can't say this thing feels like the most solid device in the world, but for $20 its probably worth it to see how long it lasts :). Hopefully it won't ruin my tastes for a horn if I ever decide to get a electric one.

I've got one of the original models with the air cannister made out of aluminum instead of plastic. I've been using it for probably around 14 years with nary a problem (except in cold weather, in cold weather it doesn't work).
