Has anyone seen the Specialized tricross expert or comp? There's some special gel on the seatstays and carbon seatpost. I believe they're called "zertz". What do they do?

yeah, and give the marketing department something (else) to work on.

Do you play tennis at all? You hit the ball and the strings make a 'twang' sound, you tie an old rubber band around the base of the strings and the 'twang' changes to a 'thwack." Same idea. Does it help at all with the ride? maybe? maybe not?

So... Zertz ~= old rubber band. ;)

great bike though. i've got one and i dig it.

It was the bay window in the included seatpost that freaked me out a little.

Absorb road buzz from what I hear. I have the 2006 version that only has it in the seat post. May be marketing, but I personally think it's a good idea.
