I have removed my old chunky quicks and replaced with new light ones- they came with plastic capped\ metal core nuts? shure they are light- but I don't trust em- do they bust bend ect? I am not super aggressive in my riding style and me n' the bike are under 200 lbs..thanks

Alot of times its a metal nut with a plastic outer shell thing. I hate them because the plastic always breaks away and spins around the metal nut so you cant grasp it.

yep- thats them- I probably described them in my back @ssward way.

Well- people viewed the post- nobody said " get rid of 'em or you'll die! " so I'll continue using them.
