Does anybody here have any first hand experience with the Asus R300 gps? I think it's fairly new, but it has some cool features, and they make a bike mount for it. I'd like to get one, but not if they're junk.
Thanks
Matt
At last report, Garmin owns 56% market share in the US. Magellan 12% TomTom 9% Trimble and Lowrance 3% each. What does that tell you about Asus? There are bike mounts for about every GPS out there tho, just google Ram Mounts.
What makes a GPS is it's mapping. Garmin and TomTom have that market wrapped up with NavTeq. (TomTom owns Navteq and Garmin has 20 year rights to the maps as an agreement in Navteq's sale to TomTom)

Ccrew, thanks for the response. I went ahead and purchased this unit for father's day, and for the money, it's pretty awesome. IMO, it's a nice gps, plays mp3's and videos, has an fm transmitter and bluetooth. I haven't been able to find the bike mount in stock anywhere yet though.
In looking at garmin's offerings, I couldn't find anything that had all the features that this gps has, and the closest ones cost several times what i paid for this (133$ after rebate).
It works great for what I wanted it for.
