It's a presidential election year--it's all the hot air they're expelling that's wreaking havoc on the weather.

Shhhh. If you complain about the wind, then the terrorists have won.

Doesn't seem any windier this year than last, really.

One of our weather guys explained it a few days ago. Normally by this time of year the jet stream has moved up north, over Nebraska, South Dakota or so taking the moving pressure systems with it. This year it's staying over Kansas. This keeps pushing low pressure areas farther south than normal and it's low pressure areas near a high pressure areas that cause wind. Some parts of N.W. Oklahoma had 90+ MPH wind last week. We had a day of 45 with gusts to 60.

Global warming, George Bush, Halliburton, paparazzi...the usual cast of suspects whenever there is a problem or issue for which no one can provide a reasonable explanation.
