hello;
I ride a cannondale slice aero and riding mt.diablo for the first time on a raod bike the other day told me Im in trouble!!!!! I didnt realize that not having a third sproket in the front was going to be that bad..
HOLLY POOP well when I hit those hills it definately hit me,, So I made it to the ranger station at about 2200 feet and I was done really done..sat Im going to try and go to the top this time.. Ireally need to invest in that third sproket, but I hear it can be costly and I would need to change my derailer and its all in the handle ie; brake handle/shifter..
I look foward to chatting C YA
P.S. I still havent found any clubs to ride with or maybe Im just not doing something right.... Maybe Im not looking in the right place
talk to you soon

Hehehehehe, yeah, that compact double works if you've got enormous massive quads, but most of us need the triple for those big hills/mountains :) .
You should be able to find at least one or two clubs--just check in with the Northern California forum.
