Does anyone know where I can find ball bearings for headsets and Bb's besides Harris? I'm looking for standard sizes, nothing weird

Any LBS or industrial supply store (Grainger, McMaster-Carr, etc.) will have them. Check automobile supply shops also. Bike Tools Etc. and Loose Screws sell them on-line at reasonable cost.

If you are just replacing them for one bike, it will be more economical to buy what you need plus a few extras at the LBS.

My LBS sells them for $.05 ea.
Certainly not worth paying S&H to buy online!

Be careful, though, as the LBS bearings might be lower grade than the good stuff (grade 25). McMaster-Carr will sell you 100 3/16" grade 25 bearings for $3. They are really specific about spec, plus you can even get fancy things like stainless bearings if you want them. They are really fast. Once I got my shipment in less than 24 hours after ordering (though I do live in Chicago).

Get a couple sizes, get a a fresh bottle of Loctite, and all of a sudden the shipping doesn't seem too bad.
