add function in search: related or similar words

Instead of trying to search for both "Tire" and "Tyre" why not have it just have the search function have an option to roll up the two words into one?

for instance:
stickers, decals
tyre, tire
saddle, seat
PTFE, teflon
repair, fix
spandex, lycra, tights
disc, disk
wobble, shimmy

there were some other similar use words, but I don't remember ATM.
