So I'm going to be doing some cross this fall and just picked up lightly used 06 Redline Conquest Pro. The bike comes with a Ksyrium Elite wheelset, is this going to be tough enough for cross racing? I weigh 148.
Lots of dudes I know in Portland race on them.

They're plenty tough. Only thing that would give me pause is my potential inability to avoid crashing. Repairing my Ultegra Open Pros would be much cheaper and easier but they are a tad slower.
they are tough enough. i weigh about the same as u and i take them off road all the time. mine are 18 front 24 rear.

165# and use the elites for both racing and training - no problems. I've taken the truing wrench out a few times for minor adjustments but that is to be expected.
