There is a section of the Burke Gilman trail in Kenmore that has been paved for some time now with a connection to the by-pass on NE 175th Street. I sent an e-mail to King County regarding the opening date for that section of the trail and got this answer:
"Thank you for posting your question on the Burke Gilman Trail website.
The section of trail that you are referring to will likely be open after
the June 28th dedication. The contractor is working very hard to meet
the contract requirements by the 28th. The easterly most portion of the
trail in this project will be open later this summer.
The city of Kenmore had a website posting project information:
http://www.kenmoresr522.com/
And they can also be reached by phone at 425/361.6300.
If you have any other questions regarding this project please feel free
to contact me.
