Not me. Too much time off the bike lately. Too bad, because I was going to attempt riding to and from the race on Sunday since it's so close. I may still ride down to watch the race and say hi.

i'm in for the 3s both days.
joseph, are you gonna do san fernando? it's a tough course, should be good for you. it's P shaped, and the block you go around it very, very short, downhill on brand blvd, hairpin at the bottom and back up brand with a long drag to the finish. it will be a race of attrition. you don't really need to break away, lots of guys will keep falling off the back every lap but it would be a good course for a break to stick as i don't think the group can make much time on the downhill into the hairpin.

Would love to, but I'll have actual teammates on sunday and I want to win it, home course and all. I'm afraid if I do saturday I might be a little sore and I don't want to risk it, besides I have a concert that day too that I don't want to miss.
Hi,
I won't be at either race. I need a break after a bunch of racing recently.
I will be at San Pedro and Manhattan Beach the following two weeks.

Sunday only and probably just one race at that. I can still feel Last week's TTT and Chula Vista. Like Cleave, SP and MB coming up.

Is Glendale a good area to ride around to warm up or should there be a trainer involved?

Griffith Park is about a mile west. 6 mile laps with a mild rise. Just a little bit of traffic. Couple of stop signs.

I didn't have a problem with side streets last year. Not the longest, and I didn't find a loop, but I did okay on a stretch or two.

Yea griffith park is perfect to warm up in, two turns so no way to get lost and a nice out and back with very little traffic.

Did the cat 4 race. OTB after like 20-mins. First time this season. Yuck! Even LAX wasn't this hard! Of course, we only did that hairpin slow-fast sprint like 6-7 times. Here, it was what?...20??? I figure almost half the field was DNF. Are all you guys on EPO or somethin'? I suck. :D Well, making lemonade, tried with another rider (Eddie from PAA) to not get lapped. Almost made that. Got caught with 1-lap to go. Figures.

Same here!!! OTB right away but I took the wimpy way out and just pulled out of the race.
I was able to survive the 30+ 4/5. I was dropped from the pack in the final sprint. Wasn't DFL but darn close.
One problem with this race was the small field size. Unlike the LAX race, I wasn't able to rest in the middle of the pack after the incline.. I guess nobody likes to race on Saturdays!!!

I finished 10th in Glendale today after FOOLISHLY letting go of the winning break. When I looked over my shoulder, the pack was right on us, so I sat up, and once I was nestled back in the pack, The break was out of sight. F***!!!
I was so pissed at myself that I almost threw in the towel and pulled off the course. But then I realized there was still a top ten to be had, so I reloaded for the final laps, got into the sprint, and nabbed...10th.
It's something, and while I'm still kicking myself for letting the break go, I guess I did get something for my trouble: I can upgrade to Cat3 now.
Another BF member took the win, so congrats. Kick-ass job out there today, man. Next time I'll stick with it.

I raced, I got in the break finally, I won. Report to go up as soon as I get around to writing it.

I got in a strong break of about 12 people at the Glendale race in the Cat 3's which eventually dwindled down to 9 people and then we eventually lapped the field, which was fun since I've never done that before.
